You get a teeny sliver of health for each pellet to the point it is not worth it. It won't fill your bar like a melee build but having a single point will stop trauma gen. It's more, noticeably so, a builder on bigger targets like say a Bruiser but the ability to stop trauma is very strong. You can stack it with Face Your Fears but Buckshot Bruiser is pretty strong for the trauma prevention alone.
